The Online Piping and Usage Specification (OPUS) educational resource developed by the Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation (MCERF), members of the Manufacturer/Supplier Council and university faculty and students has a new, easier to remember Internet address (http://www.opuspiping.org). OPUS is a free educational site that provides fast, accurate and current information on the basic building materials and processes of the mechanical contracting and service industries to those who can benefit most-students in construction-oriented university programs and the faculty who teach them. It is also a growing resource for young industry professionals or those just entering our industry who need information on what specific materials are, how they can be used, the most common applications for those materials and especially the key manufacturers and suppliers of these materials.
Please visit http://www.opuspiping.org and let us know what you think. For more information on OPUS and other MCERF services, contact Dennis Langley at dlangley@mcaa.org.
